Poshmark's shipping label is buyer-paid (so your $8 and $5 don't apply there, but the buyer pays more); on eBay, Mercari and Depop the $5 buyer shipping is part of the fee base. Marketplace comparison FAQ

Which marketplace has the lowest fees in 2026?

By raw rate, Depop (US) is usually lowest: 0% commission, only 3.3% + $0.45 processing. Mercari is flat 10%. Poshmark is $2.95 under $15 / 20% above. eBay is 13.6% in most categories plus a per-order fee — and it uniquely charges its fee on shipping and sales tax. The real winner depends on price and shipping, so use the calculator.

Why isn't the lowest-rate marketplace always the most profitable?

Fixed fees ($0.45 on Depop, eBay's per-order fee) bite hardest on cheap items; percentage fees (20% Poshmark, 13.6% eBay) bite hardest on expensive ones. And Poshmark bundles the shipping label into its fee while the others add buyer-paid shipping to the fee base. So the ranking flips with price point.

What about buyer-side fees?

Mercari adds a 3.6% Buyer Protection fee and Poshmark's buyer pays the flat shipping label; these don't reduce your payout but raise the buyer's all-in price, which can affect how fast you sell. The compare view focuses on your net payout.
