Is Depop really free for US sellers?
The selling commission is 0%, but it isn't free overall. You still pay payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45 per sale on the buyer's total. That's typically the lowest all-in fee of the four marketplaces — run the numbers in the compare calculator.
When does the +8% Boosted Listings fee apply?
Only when the sale is attributed to a boost — the buyer found the item through the boosted tile and bought within the attribution window. If you never boost, you never pay it. Use the checkbox in the calculator to model a boosted sale.
Is the fee charged on shipping?
Yes — processing is calculated on the total the buyer pays, which includes buyer-paid shipping. If you ship free, the label cost still comes out of your payout, so enter it as your shipping cost for a true net.
What changed in 2024?
Depop removed the 10% selling commission for US sellers in July 2024, leaving payment processing as the only mandatory fee. This calculator uses the current US structure.
